TAGD is proud to offer a Public Funds Investment Act Training, taught by Greg Ellis, that specifically focuses on the requirements and challenges faced by groundwater conservation districts. Please read the following details carefully.
This training will be offered on Tuesday, June 2 from 8am-2pm, with the 4-hour course beginning at 10am. The cost of this training is $175 (4-hour) or $235 (6-hour) per person and includes a meal for a working lunch. For those unable to travel to San Marcos, we can offer the training virtually, broadcast through GoToWebinar.
In person training will occur at the newly renovated Embassy Suites by Hilton San Marcos. Click here to reserve a room in the TAGD block by Monday May 11 or until rooms are filled. Reservations made through this link will include a complimentary breakfast and drink (and sometimes light bites) at the hotel's evening reception.
The Public Funds Investment Act requires the designated investment officer of a district governed by Chapter 36 or Chapter 49 of the Texas Water Code to attend six hours of initial training within twelve months after taking office or assuming duties and four hours of renewal training every two years thereafter.
